I inves­ti­gate the cog­ni­tive processes that sup­port the under­stand­ing of writ­ten language.

More specif­i­cally, I explore the way peo­ple under­stand dif­fer­ent types of doc­u­ments: News arti­cles, Tales, Nar­ra­tive texts, Lit­er­ary texts, Adver­tise­ments, Movies with subtitles …

The gen­eral objec­tive of my stud­ies is to exam­ine higher-​order cog­ni­tive skills that inter­vene dur­ing text com­pre­hen­sion for both chil­dren and adults.

Data col­lected from these dif­fer­ents types of doc­u­ments would con­tribute to deepen our knowl­edge of the com­pre­hen­sion process.
